I was tired of electric toasters that are so underpowered that they bake the bread to a dry husk. Toast should be crisp on the outside with a still tender inner. So I gave this baby a whirl, and it does just what you would expect.

It is a little disconcerting that it comes without instructions, but what's to know?

I put the toaster on our kitchen gas cooker. Set a medium burner to medium heat and let the toaster warm up for a minute or two. The put the bread on the toaster with a pair of kitchen tongs - it's HOT. Watched while one side toasted. Turned it. Toasted the other side. Took the bread off the toaster. Turned off the gas. Ate the toast. Two perfect slices of toast.

Also worked great on crumpets, and a knife sliced english muffin. It is obvious that a fork split muffin would not work well, nor a bagel - at least not the curved side. But it toasts toast really well. ...and seems sturdy enough.
